Maternity fashion trends often take their cures from what celebrity mothers to be are wearing, and this season, there are some especially exciting trends being seen on the red carpet. You can always take these styles and add your own flair to them for a personalized touch. This season, maternity fashion trends are full of basic pieces, which will serve as the foundation for your stylish wardrobe. Just because you are a mother to be does not mean that you have to let yourself fall by the wayside in terms of fashion.

Leggings – This particular style is as versatile and stylish as it is comfortable. They are available in a wide variety of different fabrics, from wild animal prints to leather or velvet. Additionally, they can be dressed with a pair of flats or paired with a bump hugging tunic top and heels for a night out. Skinny Jeans – Skinny jeans can be worn in a way that is similar to leggings. The tapered leg cut of the jeans is flattering on many different body types. Ideally, they should contain a bit of stretch to ensure that you remain comfortable during your entire pregnancy. Mini Dresses - Maternity fashion trends are no longer about camouflaging your bump, but celebrating it instead. These bump hugging garments are ideal for doing just that! For an especially sexy look, they can be paired with a pair of opaque tights for a night out with your girlfriends or significant other. Feminine Dresses - To continue the trend of certain clothing that celebrates your pregnancy, you should look for dresses that feature feminine details, like flower prints, ruffles, or flowing designs. Because most women feel the most feminine when they are pregnant, this feeling can be expressed through their clothing. Rocker Chic - This particular trend replaces feminine dresses with boot cut and torn jeans, graphic print tees, boots, and tough cut leather jackets. It is the antithesis of feminine, but they are many women who enjoy this rocker/biker/tough appearance. One particular celebrity who is frequently embodying this trend is Gisele Bundchen.

Fashion style is one of the many things that changes in just a short period of time. One moment people are going crazy over colored skinny jeans, tomorrow they will be craving for designer rolling briefcases and apparel. The thing there is, people may change their preferences on certain pieces of fashion, but definitely, all of them will always go back to the basic.

Fashion is a never-ending cycle. What is in now may come from long time ago, just making their appearance visible once again. If you can remember it right, super-skinny jeans are people’s favorites like twenty years ago. But before that, bell-bottoms dominated the market. Compare everything to the present situation. The craze for skinny jeans is back, but actually, four years ago, every single kid on the block has a pair of bell-bottom jeans. And If truth be told, the same cycle will be repeated for the next years to come.

Let us go to the cycle of bags. During the 90′s, girls are going gaga over shoulder bags to use when shopping. They come in different colors, accompanied with very long bag straps that can go all the way to your legs. These changed when teenagers as well as young professionals are starting to sport the new star-hand bags and purses. It stayed for quite sometime making the handbag designers filthy rich because some of these can be quite expensive to put it mildly. Years after the fad, shoulder bags are slowly dominating the scene once again.

Even men, who are generally not fond of these apparels, are going the trend as well. From the hand-held briefcases and file organizers, rolling briefcases can also be seen around. Briefcases for men are designed especially for the male population so they can have a trend of their own without having to go with the women’s choices. It will only take a not so long time before the original fad would have to go back.

Shoes are undergoing some rapid changes as well. Some may be patterned to the old school shoes, yet some are evolving into different pieces. With heels that can go as high as 4 inches and even beyond (with the help of platforms), even women who lacks height can solve that issue.

Apparels are also taking a few flashbacks. The past years may be filled with mostly blacks and whites and other non-loud colors, but the past few years, apparels are all about colors going from green, to purple, to hot pink or fuchsia, sunshine yellows, reds among others-the trademark of the year 1990′s.

Fashion styles are never stagnant. In just a couple of years or less, the trend that you thought would last for a very long time will just disappear right before your eyes and will be overthrown by the new kid on the block. It is only a matter of how long will it survive the dynamic surroundings of the fashion world, and will it even leave a mark in the scene, or will it be just another fashion faux pas.

The basic cowboy style consists of a colored pastel or chequered long-sleeved shirt, jeans, boots, big rodeo buckle and a cowboy hat. This style has now-a-days become more of a fashion statement with designers such as Gucci and Versace designing this ‘cowboy look’.

The real cowboys wear this because it suits their job. Ranch hands typically wear durable long sleeved cotton shirt, sometimes worn with a vest, with a worn over pair of Wrangler jeans and Tony Lama Leather Boots. They also wear chaps which is a leather garment worn from the belt downward surrounding the legs to protect them from prickly bushes and other wild elements.

The famous Rhinestone Cowboy look is mainly worn on social occasions with blue jeans, boots and a rhinestone studded shirt.

The ensemble of a cowboy look:

Western shirt

Cowboys work on the ranch in these shirts, ride horses and carry an image of the tough and the rugged. The essentials of a true western shirt are snap buttons, an accented line of piping going across the chest. The material typically used is flannel.

Cowboy Boots

These are extremely fashionable and look good on men when worn casually with tight jeans.

Jeans

Blue jeans in almost all designer fashions, including Gucci, Versace, Wrangler and Levis must fit tight and snug for a true cowboy look.

A Hat

Although a necessity at one time, is now considered more of an accessory to complete the western look. The more popular brands in hats are Roper, Resistor and Wrangler.

Although Wrangler continues to be the favourite, there are several other brands like Roper and Panhandler Slim, Levi’s Circle T, Double D and Lawman that cover a fair share of the market. The trends keep changing and styles come and go according to the current influence; but what has been largely noticed is that country and western have gone back to the more traditional look.

Many fashion designers and major fashion magazines have been jumping on the bandwagon for this new country style craze. A lot of people have recognised the emerging fashion trend of typical British heritage country style and equestrian inspired attire. Fashionistas are already shopping for autumn 2012 and their shopping totes are full to the brim of equestrian inspired apparel.

Images of British country-like clothing have recently exploded across the media and now this particular style of attire is extremely sought after across the fashion World. It is almost impossible to decipher where this recent up rise has evolved from due to the fact that in previous seasons a tweed jacket paired with a pair of jodhpur-like trousers would have been deemed unacceptable.

Despite this fact, we should embrace this complete British heritage style fashion such as many fashionistas have done so themselves. Why not get a head-start on this brand new craze and invest in a pair of jodhpurs and jodhpur boots this season and set the trends for the future. High-street shops will soon be full to the brim with tweed, plaid and wax jackets and the latest camel jodhpurs – so I have decided to purchase my equestrian inspired fashion choices from the equestrian source itself.

In order to stay ahead of the fashion trend taking risks is an imperative way of being branded a fashionistas. If you do not take the risk then you are simply following trends rather than creating them so by embracing this particular style early you are literally setting the trends to come. With last year’s up rise of the Chelsea boot (extremely similar to the equestrian Jodhpur boot) it was only a matter of time before this was the popular dress.

The first thing that you will need to invest in is a tweed blazer. In autumn/winter 2012 this is going to be one of the most sought after items of apparel that you could purchase. A tweed blazer is an extremely fashionable way of completing an outfit with pattern and a splash of autumn colours.

Upon this, pair your tweed blazer with a dazzling pair of jodhpur boots, which can also be known as Chelsea boots, which are one of the main pieces of footwear in this upcoming style. These are available in many different colours and are usually made from real, high quality leather.

Finish your outfit off with an equestrian style polo which has been seen on the runway for Ralph Lauren and other major fashion brands and some jodhpurs. Jodhpurs are tight fitting trousers, a lot like leggings that you can wear with your jodhur boots, polo and tweed jacket in order to achieve the best country look.

In the past clothing styles have been fairly standard for each era, where as nowadays there is a wider range of fashion options. The clothing industry often get ideas from these eras which has resulted in a real mix of styles and trends such as streetwear.

The trend now a days is for people to incorporate a range of different looks such as a streetwear look, a smart look, a retro look and for the ladies a vintage hosiery look. The key is to include as many different combinations as possible.

T-shirts and trousers are still common place in the fashion world but it is the styling and designs on them that differ the most with rips, pockets and innovative quirky design features being added.

New terms like Streetwear and Urbanwear have been created to categorise these new clothing trends and styles. Streetwear is used to describe clothing inspired by the street lifestyle and often incorporate urban themes such as graffiti and life on the streets. Urbanwear and streetwear brands are often started by people from the street such as graffiti artists and skaters. Addict and Fly53 are two companies who have had success by developing their brands in this way.

In recent years vintage clothing has returned to the high street with more and more vintage clothes shops selling second hand classic clothing. These stores can make a lot of money as vintage clothing is often quite rare and so customers are willing to pay more expensive prices for rarities.

As traditional vintage clothing has increased in popularity so too has faux vintage clothing. This provides the consumer with a cheap alternative to purchasing authentic vintage clothing and means they can have copies of rare or hard to find clothes.

Fashion designers have responded by producing replica clothing from the 1940′s to the 1980′s at cheap prices. This means that customers can have high quality retro apparel that fit comfortably, are affordable and it also means you don’t have to go routing through your parents clothes in the attic.

Vintage lingerie has also made an impact on the fashion world. Replicas of burlesque hosiery from the 40′s and 50′s are now being produced as clothes such as seamed stockings, corsets and waist cinchers have become popular again.

It is time to throw your chunky knits to the back of your wardrobe and invest in some summer friendly attire for the upcoming season. London Fashion Week has shown a lot of potential for spring-summer fashion with designer clothing. From boyfriend cuts with added femininity to clashed prints – this summer’s fashion is bound to be exciting and colourful.

Style is ever-changing and with designer clothing being so versatile – is the term fashionable too ambiguous? Whether you are more of a ‘dare to be different’ girl or more of a laid back ‘tomboy’ there is undoubtedly trends for everyone. Although it was a proverbial fact that the initial influences of what defines fashion came from the designers, now it is a lot more about street style. Nevertheless, designers have created a remarkable variety of attire set for spring-summer 2012 and it is only a matter of time before these are available on the high street.

Prints are an extremely important part of fashion this year and they have not been so flamboyant since the ’70s hippie revolution. Clean cut shapes with outgoing patterns define the extravagance of summer fashion – it is all about standing out from the crowd. The only rule of this colourful season is to clash your patterns; everything else is up to you. Designers have included every pattern available into their clothing ranges so you are most definitely not short of choice.

One other way of dressing for summer 2012 is to incorporate flirtatious, bold colours into your attire. Bright and sporty neon’s have been projected across the media in order to create the perfect look for summer. Combine bright colours with dark and diaphanous attire to master the simple ensemble.

Alternatively, take your fashion taste in the complete opposite directions by dressing in chalky pastel apparel. Sugary and luxurious shades define the ideal subtle outfits for the upcoming summer season. This particular apparel has the characteristics of clean lines and simple shapes so that you can indulge in plainness and layers. There are no rules to this pastel phenomenon as you can take one shade and dress from head-to-toe or go into pastel overload and use many different colours to complete your look.

Finally, the last fashion trend which has been hitting the designer clothing shelves is the boyfriend look. A style that has always been in fashion since Coco Chanel, one of the world’s most legendary fashion designers, initiated the look for masculinity within women’s fashion. Androgynous pieces are hitting the market and many aspiring fashionistas have been documented sporting such attire. This fashion style is all about getting in touch with your masculine side whilst staying feminine and true to your roots!

The realm of fashion design, by its sheer glamour and grace, has always been exciting and intriguing. When we talk of fashion design, it implies a form of art that incorporates the nuances of creating clothes and accessories.

The history of fashion design can be traced back to the beginning of the19th century when the designs were the product of the dresses worn in the royal courts. Eventually, Charles Frederick Worth, the first fashion designer, set up his first fashion house in Paris. His designs greatly influenced the people and they labeled them as the designs of the “House Of Worth.” As a result, a designer became synonymous with a particular brand.

Another important designer who made a significant contribution to the evolution of the fashion was Paul Poi Ret. He blended the classical style consisting of aesthetic dressing with Paris fashion. Other important designers of this age were Patou, Vionnet, Fortuny, Lanvin and Chanel.

Throughout the 20th century, Paris remained the world’s fashion hub, with countries such as the US and Britain openly aping the French designs. The post World War era saw the emergence of other countries as the centers of fashion and Paris ceased to be the sole influential factor. The rising British fashion industry brought a new range of street fashion focusing mainly on the young consumers.

Later, American designers such as Calvin Klein And Ralph Lauren came to the fore with their sportswear and made it a style statement. Today, fashion designs can be categorized into two main categories. The haute couture is designed for individual customers. The other category is the ready-to-wear collection. While the former is based on certain themes and is more for creating a style statement, the latter is meant for the masses.

The mid-90s saw the emergence of a new breed of designers who redefined traditional concepts. They looked at fashion from a new angle, creating their own new concepts.

Thus, the world of fashion design has witnessed a steady evolution over the years and has been the by-product of the sincere efforts of many of the top designers.

Fashion changes almost as much as some men change their bed sheets – at least once every six months. It can be hard to keep up, but don’t worry; we’ve checked out the hottest trends in men’s fashion for 2011 so you don’t have to do it yourself. One hot trend that’s emerging is floral patterns – these were all over the catwalk, everywhere from paisley shirts to louder flowery options and some great beach shorts, suggesting the designers are trying to alter the way men view fashion.

Of course, it wasn’t all about the feminine patterns on the 2011 catwalks. Another hot item for men is the blazer. These were particularly abundant in soft, block colors such as pale mauve, grey, green and blue, which are really versatile colors. This makes your blazer wearable for any occasion, whether it’s a formal event or something more social. Blazers are also superbly tailored, attractive and their great lines are flattering on any man, making this a great trend for 2011.

Blazers weren’t the only jacket style on the 2011 catwalks; leather jackets were seen dotted around, too. The bomber style seemed to be particularly popular, affecting a great sporty look that works well on any man. Leather bomber jackets are a great way of keeping out the chill, particularly at more casual occasions such as sporting events and they come with loads of pockets, making them practical as well as fashionable. Wear it unzipped over a shirt for a laidback, ultra-hip look.

Of course, fashion is nothing if not ever so slightly odd from time to time, which may explain why crop tops were a key trend on the men’s 2011 catwalks. This may sound like one for the women, but trust us, it’s not. We’re not talking about tiny crops here, more like loose tees that are just a bit shorter than normal. These are really flattering if you’ve got a great set of abs to show off and are surprisingly. They’re most popular in block colors like black and white.

Another slightly surprising entry to the list of men’s fashion trends for 2011 is lace and other sheer clothes. Again, this may sound like something from the women’s catwalks, but worn in the right way, it can look great on men, too. Sheer shirts were especially popular and could be fantastic when worn on a summer vacation – they’d be really great for showing off your tan on the beach and are also brilliant for layering over other things, giving you plenty of options.
